“I met my client (Rachel Kubitz) while showcasing my boards at a show in Calgary. My client was a fellow artist, and we got to speaking about collaborating on several projects.
My client had mentioned that she has an old longboard that she was always planning on creating into a piece of art but noted how much she liked the other board I was displaying for the show. We agreed on an acceptable level of collaboration in exchange for my creating an original art piece, based on her ideas. We met to get a clear sense of the type of painting she wanted and the feelings she wanted to portray. I worked with her throughout the process to ensure I was hitting the mark, and it turned into a successful piece that she absolutely loved.”

The goal of Peace From The Light for Ryan was to evoke spirituality, serenity, and introspection. At the heart of this piece is a vibrant mandala, symbolizing balance, unity, and our connection to the universe. Radiating light flows outward from the mandala, seamlessly merging with the luminous candles below. These glowing candles represent enlightenment, guidance, and warmth, creating a profound sense of hope, peace, and reverence.
